You can apply data quality policy rules on import of data into D365 FO with a Connectivity studio message.

To apply data quality policy rules on import of data with Connectivity studio, these settings in Connectivity studio are required:

  • On the Business integration solution parameters, on the Data quality studio tab, in the Enable data quality integration field, select Yes.
  • On the data import message, on the Header view, in the Data quality studio section, select Yes for these fields:
    • Action rules: On data import, you can apply action rules to set field values in a target field in D365 FO.
    • Validation rules: On data import, you can apply validation rules to check if the data is in line with the defined standards.
    • Check duplicates: On data import, you can apply duplicate check rules to check if the data doesn't already exist in the table.

Note:

  • The data quality policy rules are only applied:
    • For active data quality policy versions.
    • To the applicable organizations and data.
  • Only apply data quality policy rules on data import of small amounts of data. If you want to import large amounts of data, first import the data without applying data quality policy rules, and then do a quality assessment.
  • The Connectivity studio fields to set up the Data quality studio integration are only available if Data quality studio is installed on the same D365 FO environment as Connectivity studio.
